About me
Tommy (he/him) is an outdoor educator and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Outdoor Recreation and Leadership at Lake Superior State University. He holds a PhD. in Environmental Education (SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry) and a M.Ed. in Secondary Science Instruction (Boston College). His academic interests focus on the interactions among access, inclusion, and diversity in the Outdoors. Tommy has particular experience working within Native communities and advocates for attention to Indigenous Science in all schools here on Turtle Island.
